Terms of Use.

These terms are an agreement between you and ALAZ Software (“ALAZ”, “we”, “us”) for the use of English Vocabulary: 8000 Words (“the app”) and its related services. By downloading or using the app you accept them. If you don't, please don't use the app.

You must be at least 13 years old, or the minimum age required in your country, to use the app. If you are under 18, a parent or guardian must agree to these terms on your behalf and approve any purchase.

How we handle your data is described in the privacy policy, which is part of these terms.

We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app on devices you own or control, for your own non-commercial use, under these terms and the rules of the store you got it from. You may not copy, modify, resell or redistribute the app, reverse engineer it except where the law allows, get around its technical limits or purchase checks, or use it to build a competing product.

Give accurate information, keep your sign-in credentials safe, and tell us if you think someone else has used your account. You are responsible for what happens under your account. One account belongs to one person. As a guest, your progress is linked to this installation only: if you log out or delete the app before saving your progress to an account, it can't be recovered.

The app is free to use, with a daily limit on games and the first topics unlocked. Premium is an optional auto-renewing subscription (weekly, monthly or yearly, as offered in the app) that unlocks every game without a daily limit, spaced-repetition reviews, all topic decks, streak freezes, detailed statistics and review reminders. What each plan includes is shown on the subscription screen.

• Prices, the billing period and what's included are shown in the app before you buy. Prices may differ by country and include taxes where the store requires it.
• Payment is charged to your Apple ID or Google Play account when you confirm the purchase. Purchases are processed by Apple or Google, not by us, under their terms.
• Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period for the same length and price, unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Your account is charged for the renewal within the 24 hours before the period ends.
• You can manage or cancel a subscription at any time in your App Store account settings or Google Play subscriptions. Deleting the app or your account does not cancel it. After canceling, you keep access until the end of the period you paid for.
• If a free trial or introductory offer is shown, its length and the price after it are stated before you start. If you don't cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, the subscription starts and is charged. Any unused part of a free trial ends when you buy a subscription.
• If a price changes, the store tells you in advance and, where the law or the store requires it, asks for your consent.
• Use “Restore purchases” in the app to get a purchase back on a new device with the same store account.

Because Apple and Google process the payments, we can't issue refunds ourselves. Request one from Apple or Google Play; their refund policies apply. Where your local law gives you a right to withdraw from or cancel a purchase, you can use it through the store. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under mandatory consumer law.

Word lists, translations, example sentences and recordings are prepared with care, but they may contain mistakes and don't replace a teacher or an official course. We don't promise any particular result, level or exam score. If you spot an error, tell us and we'll fix it.

When you use the app, don't:

• break the law or other people's rights, including privacy and intellectual property rights;
• try to access accounts, data or systems that aren't yours, probe or attack our services, or disrupt them;
• use bots, scrapers or automation against our services, or overload them;
• misuse purchases, refunds or promotions;
• copy, extract or republish the app's word lists, translations or audio recordings;
• help anyone else do any of this.

We may suspend or close accounts that break these rules.

The app, its design, code, texts, sounds, images and other content, and the names and logos of ALAZ and the app, belong to ALAZ or its licensors and are protected by law. These terms don't give you any rights to them beyond the license above. Third-party names and trademarks belong to their owners. If you send us feedback or suggestions, we may use them freely and without obligation to you.

We keep improving the app, so features may change, be added or be removed. We try to keep it running, but we don't promise it will always be available, uninterrupted or error-free, and some features need an internet connection. If we ever shut the app down, we will give reasonable notice in advance.

The app relies on services run by others, such as Apple, Google, Firebase and RevenueCat. Your use of them may also be subject to their own terms. We aren't responsible for third-party services, websites or content we don't control.

The app is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability and non-infringement. Some countries don't allow these exclusions, so they may not all apply to you.

To the extent the law allows, ALAZ is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost profits, data or goodwill, arising from your use of the app. Our total liability for any claim relating to the app is limited to the greater of the amount you paid for the app in the 12 months before the claim and US$100. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, for gross negligence or wilful misconduct, or any other liability that can't be limited by law.

You can stop using the app at any time and delete your account if you have one. We may suspend or end your access if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms, or if the law requires it; where reasonable we'll tell you why first. Sections that by their nature should survive (such as intellectual property, disclaimer, liability and governing law) continue to apply.

If you got the app from the Apple App Store:

• These terms are between you and ALAZ only, not Apple. ALAZ, not Apple, is solely responsible for the app and its content.
• Your license is limited to using the app on Apple-branded products that you own or control, as permitted by the Usage Rules in Apple's Media Services Terms and Conditions, which also allow use by other accounts in your Family Sharing group or through volume purchasing.
• Apple has no obligation to provide any maintenance or support for the app.
• If the app fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple and Apple will refund the purchase price (if any). To the maximum extent the law allows, Apple has no other warranty obligation for the app; any other claims, losses or costs from a failure to conform to a warranty are ALAZ's responsibility.
• ALAZ, not Apple, is responsible for addressing any claims by you or third parties relating to the app or your use of it, including product liability claims, claims that the app fails to conform to legal or regulatory requirements, and claims under consumer protection, privacy or similar laws.
• If a third party claims that the app or your use of it infringes their intellectual property rights, ALAZ, not Apple, is responsible for the investigation, defense, settlement and discharge of that claim.
• You confirm that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated as a “terrorist supporting” country, and that you are not on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
• You must comply with applicable third-party terms when using the app (for example your mobile data provider's terms).
• Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and, once you accept them, have the right to enforce them against you.

If you got the app from Google Play, the Google Play Terms of Service and Google Play's policies also apply to your download and purchases. Google is not a party to these terms and is not responsible for the app.

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye, and the courts of İzmir have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live and can bring claims in your local courts. Consumers in Türkiye can also apply to consumer arbitration committees and consumer courts under Law No. 6502. Before going to court, please write to hello@alaz.pro — most problems can be solved quickly.

We may update these terms, for example when the app or the law changes. The date at the top shows the latest version. For significant changes we tell you in the app in advance; if you keep using the app after a change takes effect, the new terms apply. If you don't agree, stop using the app and cancel any subscription.

If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. Not enforcing a right doesn't waive it. You may not transfer your rights under these terms without our consent; we may transfer ours to a successor of the app. These terms, with the privacy policy, are the whole agreement between you and us about the app.
